Youth Investment Program Intern, The Stewardship Council

Position Description
Youth Investment Program Intern


Primary Purpose of Position
The Youth Investment Program Intern will contribute to the daily operations of the Youth Investment Program, its staff, and the office as a whole. The intern will have opportunities to attend briefings and meetings, as well as to make important contacts, and will be expected to take ownership of given projects. Most importantly, the intern will become part of the Stewardship Council team, working with a group of dedicated and talented individuals to support organizations that connect youth with the outdoors.

Position Responsibilities
Contribute to research projects to support staff initiatives
Help organize and implement community meetings and workshops
Assist in tracking and processing of grant applications and reporting
Assist with progress reports, notes, and other communications as requested
Help streamline office administrative processes through organizing, scanning, filing and storing documents, and other special projects as assigned
Provide general office support, including copying, answering phones, and document production

Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies
Course work and/or career interest in education, environmental studies, conservation, youth outreach, or social sciences
Some administrative experience with filing, answering phones, copying, faxing
Ability to multi-task and interest in working in high-energy start-up environment
Team player with positive and warm communication style
Proficient skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
