Environmental Justice and Health Forum, attendance scholarships

The American Public Health Association's Environment Section would like to
invite you to attend our Environmental Justice and Health Forum on Saturday, November 6th
at the Denver Convention Center in Denver, CO. The event will begin at 4:00
pm.

This event is part of the Section's program for the annual
conference's theme on Social Justice: A Public Health Perspective. This
event will be an opportunity for community leaders, activists,
researchers, policymakers, students, and other interested stakeholders
to discuss environmental justice and health issues, development of
community-university partnerships to address environmental justice and
health issues, best practices, lessons learned, and federal initiatives
to address environmental justice and health issues.

If you are a leader of a community-based organization, the Environment
Section will provide scholarships up to $750 for you to travel to the
conference. If you plan to attend the conference and would like a
scholarship, please contact Dr. Sacoby Wilson, APHA Environment Section
Chair, at wilsons2@mailbox.sc.edu. Please let Dr. Wilson know by August
23rd.
