JOB DESCRIPTION
A temporary part-time contracted position is available with the City of Oakland Department of Human Services Children and Youth Services Division to facilitate and support the Oakland Youth Advisory Commission. The position will provide primary staff support to the Youth Commission by planning for, preparing for and facilitating the Commission’s public meetings, providing or facilitating training and information gathering as needed to support the conduct of commission business, providing adult supervision during activities for the 15 to 23 member youth commission and support for the development and presentation of the commission’s recommendations and work products for FY2011-12. Work is expected to begin in October and will entail 10 to 20 hours per week. Compensation, based on experience and suitability will be between $25 and $30 per hour.
