Mills College Upward Bound Summer Program is seeking Teacher's Assistants (TA). Our summer courses and number of TAs are as such: Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus all need 1 TA for each course, English needs 4 TAs, and Environmental Science needs 2 TAs.
TA Requirements:
Assist instructors during regular class times.
Tutor students who are having difficulties performing lesson after classes.
Assist instructors with grading assignment and miscellaneous student work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must at least be a college junior and present proof of proficiency in subject matter.
Candidate must have prior experience working with youth from diverse social and economic backgrounds as well as be able to demonstrate sensitivity in assisting students with diverse learning abilities.
