The Specialist will: Act as a press officer in the Office of Public Affairs to disseminate written and spoken information in both English and Spanish about the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) programs, policies and regulatory and enforcement actions. Develop approaches for creating and posting feature stories, announcements, reports etc., of agency policies, programs and events using social media tools and the web. Establish and maintain effective relationships with media representatives and specialized groups, including Spanish-speaking media and groups, to communicate new initiatives/activities that directly influence public knowledge and understanding of EPA policies and programs.
