The Organic Gardener (project position) tends to a 2.5 acre
organic garden dedicated to serving employees, guests, and clients of
Lucasfilm Ltd.
* Garden consists of vegetables, soft fruits, cut flowers, and herb
productions.
* Perform physical work in a garden shoveling, weeding, seeding, feeding,
planting, and harvesting.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* A minimum of one year prior experience is preferred not required.
* Must be able perform physical work in a garden 100 percent
of the time (shoveling, weeding, seeding, feeding, planting,
harvesting).
* Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
* Interest in food production.
* Ability to work independently under the supervision of lead Organic
Gardener.
* High motivation, strong work ethic and focus.
* Aesthetic sense to create beautiful flower bouquets for sale.
* Love of nature, dirt and hard labor.
* Prior education or experience in irrigation techniques and sustainable
crop production is a plus.
